I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. An avid outdoors person, I traded the Rocky Mountains for Lake Michigan when I attended Lake Forest College and decided to stay. I met and married my husband, Ted, had two children, and in 1985 started selling real estate for GGL in the LB office where I have been for the past 30 years. At age 54, I did my first Ironman triathlon race: 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike followed by a marathon, 26.2 miles. And yes, it’s all on the same day. This year I will participate in Ironman Wisconsin, my eighth Ironman. I ran my first marathon at age 50, and last year I completed my 33rd marathon.
My other passion is platform (paddle) tennis which I’ve played for 20 years. Do these long grey Chicago winters get you down? Play paddle! Living in Lake Bluff for the past 35 years and having had two children grow up in this community has given me a unique insight into what makes Lake Forest and Lake Bluff such wonderful places to live and raise a family. Our excellent schools, proximity to Chicago as well as open lands, Lake Michigan, and hundreds of miles of cycling trails set us apart from so many communities. But it is our small-town feel that makes us so special. I am forever grateful that by some stroke of luck I ended up being able to live my life here.
